Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre

The Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre (SCCC) opened in 2013 and provides essential cancer services for the growing South Coast population through every stage of the patient journey. SCCC provides integrated multidisciplinary cancer care with increased access to medical oncology, radiation therapy, allied health and support services.

The SCCC houses:Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre

  • Inpatient partnership with Wollongong Hospital and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital
  • Medical Oncology consultation and treatment facilities
  • Day Oncology (6 chemotherapy/ infusion chairs)
  • Haematology consultation and treatment facilities
  • Radiation Oncology consultation and treatment facilities (1 linear accelerator)
  • Research/Clinical Trials
  • Patient support areas
  • Cancer Council NSW Patient Information Centre
  • Accommodation

How do I access the SCCC Accommodation?

SCCC Accommodation – the cost of accommodation is $43 for single, or $60 for double. These prices are subject to change so please call the Cancer Council on (02) 4223 0215 and confirm at time of booking. If you live more than 100kms away from the centre and are not in a private health fund, you may be eligible to claim costs from Isolated Patients Travel & Accommodation Assistance Scheme (call IPTAAS on 1800 478 227 to determine your eligibility). If you are not eligible for the IPTAAS rebate and are having trouble with the cost, please contact the hospital social worker regarding accessing some financial assistance to cover or help with the costs. Some private health funds will rebate accommodation costs, please check with your provider.
