Wollongong Public Hospital - Botulinum Toxin Clinic

This clinic is offered every Thursday in the Neurology Outpatient Department, Level 4, Block C, Wollongong Public Hospital.

The following conditions are often suitable for treatment with Botulinum Toxin:

  • Sweating (axillary)
  • Post-stroke spasticity
  • Post-spinal cord injury spasticity
  • Cerebral palsy spasticity
  • Blepharospasm
  • Hemifacial spasm
  • Cervical dystonia (e.g. torticollis)
  • Chronic migraine
  • Excess saliva
  • Facial synkinesis (e.g. post-Bell’s palsy)
  • Writer’s cramp
  • Musician’s cramp

Injections are administered by A/Prof John Carmody FRCPI FRACP PhD, Senior Staff Specialist Neurologist and a Neurology Advanced Trainee.
