Stir It Up is a healthy eating project which trains community members to promote healthy eating in their local area. The training is delivered by a Registered Training Organisation and graduates conduct activities such as recipe demonstrations, supermarket and garden tours, talks and cooking groups in a variety of community settings.
Activities have included talking to parents about quick, easy, healthy meals; visiting playgroups to teach kids and parents how to make hummus and other healthy snacks; demonstrations about using legumes; how to make rice paper rolls; how to grow herbs and vegetables and teaching teenage girls about healthy drinks and smoothies.
