Dr Jonathon Hill is a Staff Specialist Medical Oncologist within ISLHD and is the Network Director of Physician Education for the Illawarra Medical Network.  He also works on the General Medicine team at Wollongong Hospital.  He consults in the private sector at the Southern Cancer Institute and Southern Medical Day Care in Wollongong.  Dr Hill grew up in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven and is passionate about delivering high quality healthcare to our community. 

Dr Hill treats patients with cancers of the lung and thorax, head and neck, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers and genitourinary cancers.  His interests are in continuous quality improvement programs, education and training, supportive and symptom management for cancer patients and developing survivorship programs for people living with or recovering from their cancer.

Dr Hill has sub-specialty medical training in supportive and palliative medicine and clinical leadership.  He graduated from the University of Wollongong and completed his initial years within the Illawarra and completed his medical oncology sub-specialty training at St George, Sutherland and Westmead hospitals.

Dr Hill is actively involved in clinical governance, safety and quality programs within ISLHD and is a stark advocate for adequate resourcing for our region and supporting local talent and training programs.  Dr Hill has extensive experience with clinical trials.
