Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre - Radiation Therapy

Overview

The Radiation Therapy Department is an outpatient service located in the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre.

The Department consists of two linear accelerators, an orthovoltage (superficial treatment) machine, planning department, and outpatient clinics for new referrals and follow-up appointments.

Radiation Therapists and Physicists staff the Radiotherapy Department. The Radiation Therapists organise, plan and treat the patients, whilst the Physicists ensure the technology runs efficiently.

Referrals

A referral is required from a GP or specialist.

Access and Parking

The Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre has a dedicated carpark for patient use for treatment and specialist appointments. Located on the Shoalhaven Hospital campus, visitors to the Cancer Centre also have access to hospital parking.

Advice for disabled to get to the service

The Shoalhaven Cancer Centre houses a lift which enables access to the disabled. All entry points to the Cancer Centre are disabled friendly.
