Prof. Alexis Andrew Miller

Prof Miller is an experienced Radiation Oncologist who has worked internationally. He has a history in country living, and education; and he has been working in the Illawarra since 2005. Since that time his focus has been clinical work, research and software development.

Prof Miller is affiliated with the University of Wollongong (UoW) School of Engineering and Information Science, providing mentorship and supervision of computer science students who are involved in building software to support Radiation Oncology research ('OnkoDICOM'). He is also involved in teaching of medical students within the oncology clinics. His research interest is in Information Science, in particular knowledge structure in Radiation Oncology and the use of departmental data for clinical purposes. He has achieved more than 70 publications since arriving in the Illawarra and helps run the Journal of Radiation Oncology Informatics.

Prof Miller leads the system development of 'PROsaiq', a patient survey system that uploads results directly into the patient medical record; and the 'Clinician Dashboard', delivering context-sensitive surveys to Oncologists.

Outside of work Prof Miller researches his Great Great Great Grandfather, Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky, a world famous painter and arguably the all time supreme marine painter, considering he produced 6000 works of art. 

Prof Miller's ideal travel destinations include European cities and one of his most memorable trips was Route 66 in a convertible Mustang.
