Child and Family Psychology Services - Nowra Community Health Centre

Overview

Child and Family Psychology Services receive referrals for children (3-12 years) presenting with a range of psychological conditions, of which emotional and behavioural problems are generally the main concerns. They may be experiencing developmental, behavioural, emotional, social, or learning difficulties. Additionally, there may be adjustment issues related to family functioning, parenting, relationships, grief and loss, or stress/trauma.

Outreach services

Outreach is provided to Ulladulla and St Georges Basin. Please make referrals for these sites using the Access and Referral Centre (ARC) on 1300 792 755.

All referrals to Nowra service, including self-referrals, are taken via the centralised Access and Referral Centre (ARC) on 1300 792 755.

Bowden
Head of Discipline - Psychology and Principal Psychologist

Pip Bowden is Principal Psychologist and Head of Discipline for the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). She brings over 30 years’ experience in Psychology including clinical and leadership roles in  Health and Mental Health settings across the hospital and community.

Pip is responsible for providing professional leadership of Psychology services across the LHD including Hospital and community based services.

The ISLHD Psychology Department provides a broad range of clinical services and is committed to providing a comprehensive and evidence-based service.
