Who we are

The Neonatal (Baby) Unit at Wollongong Hospital is a Level 4 unit that provides specialist care to neonates (babies) born at 32 weeks or later.

The Neonatal (Baby) Unit at Shoalhaven Hospital is a Level 2 unit that provides care for neonates (babies) born at 36 weeks or later.

 

What we do

The Neonatal (Baby) Unit at Wollongong Hospital provides Level 4 (acute) inpatient care for neonates (babies) born at 32 weeks or later.

The Neonatal (Baby) Unit at Shoalhaven Hospital provides:

  • Level 2 (acute) inpatient care for neonates (babies) born at 36 weeks or later
  • emergency care, transfer and ongoing care
  • basic life support and feeding
  • support with breastfeeding

You can get help from the Neonatal (Baby) Unit at Wollongong Hospital and the Neonatal (Baby) Unit at Shoalhaven Hospital through:
