Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and Shoalhaven all have a Community Transport service that operate in their area. Community Transport services are funded by Transport for NSW under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and primarily provide services for older people and their carers.
Community transport is provided by volunteers, who drive their own cars and fees for trips are payable. Community Transport does not normally provide transport for an on-going medical need.
