Public Health Unit - Infectious Diseases

 

The Public Health Unit Infectious Diseases team is responsible for the investigation and control of infectious diseases, including:

  • Disease outbreaks
  • Notifiable infectious diseases under the Public Health Act 2010

The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District’s Public Health Unit is in Wollongong, NSW 2500.

Reporting an outbreak in Aged or Disability Care

Report a respiratory (COVID-19, Influenza and/or RSV) outbreaks in aged and disability care facilities.

A Disability Care Facility with less than 6 residents may choose to be managed as a household and follow the following advice:

Reporting a gastro outbreak in Aged or Disability Care
