FAQ - Aboriginal Talent Pool

Aboriginal Talent Pool

ISLHD have created a new pathway for Aboriginal people to join our diverse and inclusive workforce.

By submitting your interest, you’ll be considered for upcoming clinical and non-clinical positions across ISLHD. No matter your availability – full-time, part-time, casual, temporary, or permanent – we can offer a wide range of opportunities to suit your needs.

Who is eligible to apply?

Accordion Content

This is a targeted recruitment under Rule 26 of the Government Sector Employment (General) Rules 2014 where only Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people are considered eligible to apply for these roles.

Will corroboration of Aboriginality take place for positions that aren’t ‘identified’?

Accordion Content

Yes, the Talent Pool has been adjusted to address specific barriers to employment faced by 'eligible persons.' Therefore, corroboration of Aboriginality will take place as part of the application process for the Talent Pool.
Please see Stepping Up: Corroboration of Aboriginality for options available to candidates to corroborate Aboriginality.

If I apply to the Aboriginal Talent Pool, how soon can I expect to hear back?
