This DonateLife Week (26 July- 2 August), Illawarra and Shoalhaven residents are encouraged to talk about organ and tissue donation and join the Australian Organ Donor Register.

This HIV Testing Week (1-7 June) Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) is reminding the community that HIV testing is still important, even in the current context of COVID-19.

Works to upgrade Wollongong Hospital’s Birthing Unit are on track to be completed over the next month, and it’s anticipated the first babies will be born in the new space from mid to late-June. The $2.2 million upgrade will provide a more modern, functional and welcoming birthing space for local women and families.

Ahead of the Easter long weekend, the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) is prompting the community to remain mindful of physical distancing and other measures in place to manage COVID-19.
