Free healthy lifestyle text messages for parents or caregivers with primary school-aged children living in the Illawarra-Shoalhaven area.
What’s involved?
- You will receive 8 weeks of healthy lifestyle text messages (5 messages each week).
- Messages will include ideas on family activities and tips on healthy eating, with a focus on building healthy habits for the whole family.
- You can opt out at any time by texting ‘STOP’.
Two short surveys
- You will be asked to complete two online surveys: one before you receive your first text and one at the end of the 8 weeks. This will let us know if the messages were helpful to you and your family.
- Questions will ask about your child’s physical activity and eating habits.

- After you have submitted the second survey, you will be invited to enter a $50 supermarket gift voucher draw.

Terms and conditions of gift voucher draw
- Employees of Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District are not eligible to go into the draw.
- There will be a draw for 2 vouchers on the first Monday of each month.
- The winner will be notified via text message within 7 days following the draw.
- People are eligible to go into the draw after they have submitted the second survey. They will be entered in the following month's draw.
- Vouchers have already been purchased and expire in August 2026.
- The first draw will be held on Monday 4th March; the final draw will be held on Monday 3rd March 2025 (13 draws).
